  2. Apply a specific leather cleaner to a natural bristle brush and apply it all over the surface, without rubbing. Keep in mind that the most recommended cleaners are those that contain glycerin or lanolin.
  3. Let the product act for a few seconds and pass the brush soaked in the cleaner again.
  4. Remove dirt with a dry or slightly water-dampened microfiber towel.
  5. Apply a small amount of leather-specific conditioner to a microfiber cloth and spread it over the upholstery to hydrate and nourish the leather.
  6. Let the conditioner work for a few minutes to penetrate the leather and then remove the excess amount with a dry microfiber cloth.

This material is the perfect substitute for leather, since they are very similar aesthetically, but leatherette requires less care and cleaning is much easier. To keep the synthetic leather of your seats in perfect condition, follow these steps:

  1. Vacuum the entire surface thoroughly.
  2. Rub the surface with a cloth dampened in mild soap and water.
  3. Rinse the entire surface with the help of a cloth dampened in water.
  4. Dry the surface with a towel.

HOW TO CLEAN ALCANTARA UPHOLSTERY

Alcantara is a versatile synthetic material similar to Suede that is used in the upholstery of cars with a certain degree of luxury. In addition to having to vacuum the dust from the seats regularly, you should follow these steps to maintain them:

  1. Vacuum the entire surface thoroughly.
  2. Dampen a cotton cloth in water and gently wipe the entire surface in circular motions.
  3. Once a year it is recommended that you remove the seats and put the fabric in the washing machine. It is advisable to start a short washing program, at no more than 30 degrees, without spinning or drying. Use a neutral detergent and do not add fabric softener. In case you have to iron it, remember to always put a cloth between the iron and the upholstery.
  4. If you cannot remove the seat, clean it with the help of a sponge dampened in water and let it dry naturally for several hours.
